Penned and helmed by Jeong Jeong-hwa, Woori The Virgin is a South Korean television series heavily inspired by the American series titled Jane the Virgin. The 14-episode season debuted in May 2022. The series is developed by Studio S (planning) and Lifetime (production investment). It stars I’m Soo-hyang, Sung Hoon, Shin Dong-wook, and Hong Ji-yoon
Now the question that many of the fans want to know is whether or not there will be a season 2 of Woori The Virgin. Well if we take a look at the ratings, the drama received poor or negative reviews from both the audience and critics alike. On IMDb, the series has a score of 5.2 out of 10 and on MyDramaList, it has a score of 6.5 out of 10. Woori The Virgin Season 2 Renewal Status
As of now, SBS has not greenlit Woori The Virgin for a sophomore season. Understandably, the movie industry is all based on viewership and ratings and unfortunately, the series wasn’t received well. Hence, we do not know if a second season will be produced since there has been no announcement till now from the makers or the cast. We also know that most K-dramas wrap up the story in a single season. So it is completely up to the producers whether they would want to continue the story in another season. In the first season, we witnessed the marriage between Kang Jae and Woori and honestly, we couldn’t ask for a more happy ending. So if the story were to continue in the next season, it would focus on the couple’s married life and how they tackle hardships. We also expect to see new characters.
