Will there be season 2 of ‘Interview With the Vampire’?

AMC is currently building on a world they call the Anne Rice Universe. The network has acquired the rights to all 17 books of the late American author’s Vampire Chronicles. Interview with tHe Vampire focuses on the first novel of the literary series. It centers upon the interview of Louis de Pointe Du Lac, a vampire, who opens up about his relationship with Lestat and Claudia to Daniel Molloy, a competent reporter. The vampire drama debuted on 2nd October 2022 and has left fans amazed by its intriguing storyline and a stellar cast. Ahead of the series premiere, the network has officially renewed a season two. And we cannot keep calm as more drama awaits us in the next set of episodes.

That being said, read on to know everything about Season 2 of Interview with the Vampire, from its release date to its plotline and more:

Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Release date

AMC has not confirmed the release date for Interview with the Vampire 2. But keeping in mind it’s a spooky aspect, it is likely to hit our screens around Halloween, 2023.

Moreover, by Tracking the release pattern of the inaugural run, this assumption turns out to be true. The first season is 8 episodes long, thus fans could see a similar episode length in its follow-up installment.

Interview with the vampire Season 2 Plotline

Interview with the Vampire season one left the fans on the edge of their seats. Its final episode ended with the betrayal of Louis and Claudia and the killing of Lestat. However, we know Lestat, he will not give up on Louis this easily and punish Claudia for her treachery.

The series producer, Rolin Jones hints at where Claudia and Louis are heading off in  S2. It appears they will move to the European part of the world. But would it be Romania or Bulgaria? That’s how Jones teases, who is smart to not give any spoilers.

“Bulgaria. Romania. Paris. (Ah Paris!) San Francisco. New Orleans. Dubai. The writing staff of Anne Rice’s ‘Interview With the Vampire’ is honored, humbled, and hungry to add more stamps to our vamps’ passport books. All praises are to our fearless network, we shall endeavor not to screw it up.”

Fans will have the answers they seek as we have the exact plotline for the sequel. Also, the first book is not finished yet, thus season 2 will have parts of books 2, 3, and 6. Book devotees might not be surprised if the series introduces new elements to arouse excitement among fans.

But the important thing is that it will pick off from where it left off from the published works and to our joy, there is plenty of material to adapt into an 8-episode season. Season two will be widely loyal followed by many interesting stories.

Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Cast

The series boasts an impressive cast that includes Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, and Bailey Bass. Brace yourself for another season as the vampires make a comeback with Jacob as Louis, and Sam as Lestat (Lestat is very much alive even though he is put in a coffin). Eric as Daniel, Zaman as Lousi’s assistant, Rashid, who has a significant part to play in the sequel, and Bailey as Claudia.

The follow-up might include additions to the cast as many characters from Vampire Chronicles have not made it to season one yet.
