With a rating of 8.9 IMDb and 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, the show is huge with a wonderful blend of different genres. Majorly, it falls under the genre of talk show, news satire and political satire. Coming to the plot of the show, it is a series where a comedian John Oliver presents weekly news with a satirical touch. Everything from politics to current affairs is covered by him. 


With the release of 8 seasons already, fans are expecting another season by the end of 2021 or at least in the year 2022.
