When Hope Calls Season 3: Release date, Cast, Plot, and updates

Created by Alfonso H. Moreno, “When Hope Calls” is an American family drama TV series that is a spin-off of “When Calls the Heart,” which is inspired by the Canadian West novel series penned by Jannette Oke. The series was launched on Hallmark Movies Now on August 30, 2019, with new episodes being published through October 25, 2019. The family show was thereafter premiered on Hallmark Channel at the beginning of 2020. The series was renewed for a second installment and was released on December 18, 2021, on GAC Family.

The series centers on two orphaned sisters namely Lillian and Grace, initially introduced in “When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing”, who were divided when Lillian was just seven years old and Grace at just five years of age. However, the two long-lost orphaned sisters were reunited as adults and run an orphanage in the outskirts of northwest town.

When it first aired “When Hope Calls” was positively received and became one of the most popular family shows. And ever since the second season wrapped, fans have been anxious to find out whether or not the network will order the series for a third run. Here’s what we know about season 3 of When Hope Calls.

Is Season 3 of When Hope Calls Renewed or Cancelled?

Though Hallmark hasn’t provided any information about a probable third season of When Hope Calls, the family show has not been officially canceled yet. This means that there’s still some hope left that renewal might take place at some point.

However, the lack of information could also mean that the show might be canceled. So the one thing we can do right now is to wait for further announcements from the showrunners.

When Hope Calls Season 3 Release Date: When is it?

As previously mentioned, Hallmark has yet to officially greenlit  “When Hope Calls” for season 3. Unfortunately, as of July 2022, there’s no official air date slated for the possible third season. But this doesn’t indicate the series has been axed since no word has been heard from the showmakers. The reason why no announcement is made thus far could mean that the show may be on hiatus or the writers are still trying to come up with the storyline for the next season. These are all just possibilities but we will surely update this section once we hear any official news.

Nevertheless, if the series does indeed return, the earliest we can expect to see the new episodes would be sometime in 2023.

What Can We Expect From When Hope Calls Season 3?

Because of the lack of information, it’s difficult to predict what will happen in the next season.

Speaking with E! News just before the release of the second season, showrunner Alfonso H. Moreno confessed he got “teary-eyed” jotting down their scene and seeing it being filmed: “I’m pretty sure, for the loyal Hearty audience, that they’re going to be moved by it.”

Alfonso also revealed there are plenty of surprises awaiting that fans wouldn’t even see it coming. “We do plan to bring in other actors because it’s just again, if bringing it means there’ll be fun and great anticipation, you can bet we’re going to do it,” he explained with a laugh. “These characters were in everyone’s living rooms for so long. You got to know them. So why not bring some of them over?”

So this could perhaps mean there’s more in store for the upcoming seasons in the future. Let’s just wait and see how things go.
