We Need to Talk About Cosby Season 2 Renewal Status

Will we get another season of the four-part docuseries? Unfolding the story of Cosby, once called an American dad, to now be remembered as a sex offender. 


With an airtime of four hours, the series features interviews with Cosby’s accusers, along with some journalists, comedians, and cultural commentators unraveling his complicated legacy. 


As of yet, the second season of the series hasn’t been confirmed. 




Phillips, who recurred on the series as Lt. Martin Kendall, adds, “I guess they would read or, I don’t know what went on, and then they would go out. It was just kind of like the air. You know, it was there, and everybody knew it.”


A representative for Cosby responded to the docuseries in a statement to EW that said “Despite media’s repetitive reports of allegations against Mr. Cosby, none have ever been proven in any court of law.” It adds, “Mr. Cosby vehemently denies all allegations waged against him.”

We Need To Talk About Cosby hasn’t received the official greenlight for season 2. Hence, there’s no release date for now. 


The series had its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2022. It was released on January 30, 2022, on Showtime

The website’s consensus reads, “W. Kamau Bell deftly unpacks the Cosby scandal by allowing the conversation to be uncomfortable, yielding a robust examination of the disgraced entertainer and the culture that enabled him.”
