Promises

Directed by Thomas Kruithof, known for his works like The Eavesdropper and The Collection, Promises portrays the journey of a mayor of a town in Paris. Her new political aspirations might come in between her political promises and integrity. Promises feature Isabelle Huppert, Reda Kateb, and Naidra Ayadi in crucial roles. The good news is that the filming has kickstarted this French film, so, it is anticipated to be dropped by 2022. 

Aline

Aline is the 14th child of her parents, Sylvette and Anglomard. Her destiny changes on an encounter with a producer who envisions her as a fabled musician. With her family’s unwavering support and love, Aline embarks on a thrilling journey to being a renowned musician. The film is scheduled to be released in November 2021. Ever since the trailer is out, fans are keenly awaiting its official release. Rectangle Productions, Gaumont is behind the production of this movie. 

Between Two Worlds/ Ouistreham

Between Two worlds tells the story of a celebrated writer, Marianne Winckler, who is engaged in the research work for her new book. For this purpose, she travels to North France and becomes part of a working-women group. Marianne then realizes issues concerning menial jobs including lack of financial security. However, despite the struggles, she also understands the affinity and closeness that these women share. It is a fiction story in which Emmanuel Carrere will bring his directional vision on board. The film went into production in 2020 and is all set to release in January 2022. Produced by Curiosa Films, Cinéfrance Studios, this movie is likely to raise the bar of the fiction genre in the French entertainment industry. 

Death on the Nile

Death on the Nile is one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. The film has disappointed its fans by pushing back its release date for over a year. Despite it, we finally have an official release date for this crime drama. The thriller is all set to have a theatrical release in February 2022. Death on the Nile is a movie adaption of Agatha Christie’s 1937 thriller. The audience would witness the exceptional directional as well as acting skills of Kenneth Branagh. Kenneth will take on the role of Hercule Poirot, who is known for solving crime mysteries, however, the assassin of the young heiress in the Nile is one of the biggest mysteries to crack. Even so, Poirot is adamant to find out the murderer. Besides Kenneth, Death on the Nile stars Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, and Tom Bateman in lead roles. 

Olga

Olga follows the story of a fifteen-year-old gymnastic whose life is disrupted by the Euromaidan revolution in Kyiv. The revolt has a great influence on her peers and close acquaintances, changing everyone’s lives for the worse. Elli GRappe will take on the directional role of Olga. The work on the film s currently underway, and it is scheduled to be released in the latter part of 2022. For fans having a fondness for fiction drama, Olga is a must-watch. Elie Grappe has also penned down the screenplay along with co-writer, Raphaëlle Valbrune-Desplechin.
