The series is created by Adam Kay. ‘This Is Going to Hurt’ is a medical dramedy Tv series heavily inspired by his memoir of the exact title. It was launched on February 8, 2022, on BBC One and is co-produced by AMC and the BBC.
The story centers on the existence of a group of junior medical experts in the obstetrics and gynecology section in a National Health Service hospital. It showcases their private and professional lives and unfolds the sentimental impacts of working in a rigid environment. ‘This Is Going to Hurt’ revolves around the tales of Adam Kay (played by Ben Whishaw) and Shruti Acharya (played by Ambika Mod) as they toil through the levels of the hospital hierarchy. The show is well appreciated for its clever dialogue and outstanding performance and fans can’t help but wonder whether or not the series will be back for another run. Let’s find out below.

This Is Going To Hurt Season 2 Plot: What to be expected?
If a second season is renewed, fans can expect the highs and lows to come for Dr. Adam and the squad.
Because the series is based on true events, the real Dr. Adam proceeded with his profession as a medical expert until 2010. To put it, the stories of him could go on for at least four more years.
Also when Ambika was asked whether she would want a Shruti spin-off, she jested: “Yeah, 100 percent, just so I can be the lead.”
She added: “Yeah, that would be cool! We should follow Adam, then follow Shruti, then follow Tracy (Michele Austin) and then Miss Houghton (Ashley McGuire). I think Miss Houghton’s would be the most viewed series.”
That is all for now folks! Stay tuned for more updates.
