The Walking Dead season 12: What to expect?

The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series based on a comic book series by Tony Moore, Charlie Adlard, and Robert Kirkman. According to AMC, the eleventh season will be the last and final season of the series. The show’s creator Robert Kirkman revealed the information after deciding to end the comic book which ultimately resulted in the series ending as well. Although many fans were quite shocked by this sudden revelation. So there you go, there won’t be a season 12 but season 11 part 3 is likely to be released by fall 2022 and will wrap the series.

The series has been running for more than a decade now and likewise, it somehow lost its popularity along the way, the show’s ratings were also decreasing but then again, many fans still love and enjoy watching the show. Unfortunately, every good thing must come to an end and this is definitely it for The Walking Dead series. 

The end is nearsighted, this incredible show has served us for over 10 good long years. But hey! hold your goodbyes, we still have several spin-offs coming soon and even if this may be the end of the show, it’s not the end for The Walking Dead franchise. Will there be a season 12 of The Walking Dead?

Nope! There won’t be the twelfth season. The Walking Dead season 11 is the final outing of the series. However, season 11 will have an extended version. It will have a total of 24 episodes which will be split into eight episodes. The first eight episodes are all set to release on August 22, 2021.

Season 11 is divided into 3 parts. The first eight episodes was released on August 22, 2021 and ended on October 10, 2021. The second part from episode 9 to 16 aired from February 20, 2022 to April 10, 2022. While the third part which is from episodes 17 to 24 is set to come out in fall 2022.

However, this is not the end of The Walking Dead show. There are many spin-offs coming soon, including TWD mainly focusing on Carol and Daryl and an anthology series called “Tales of The Walking Dead,” which will probably premiere in 2023.

Also, we have two other spin-offs which will join the Rick Grimes movies, “Fear the Walking Dead,” “The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” and possibly there are many other shows that the network has already planned. Even though we won’t be getting a twelfth season for The Walking Dead, there are several other TWD contents to look forward to in the future.
