Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, The Sex Lives of College Girls is a newly launched American teen sex comedy-drama that was launched on HBO Max on November 18, 2021. It features Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Gavin Leatherwood, Chris Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Renika Williams, Lolo Spencer, and Midori Francis.
The series revolves around the lives of four teenagers in their freshmen year who are roomies at the made-up Essex College in Vermont, surrounding their sexually active way of life as these ladies try to handle different problems and difficulties that college life brings.
The show has so far received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike for its accurate portrayal of college life and Gen Z in general. In a statement, Sarah Aubrey, boss of original content at HBO Max said, “Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble have created and written a show that is full of heart, female friendships, and awkward naked parties,” she added. “We are delighted that this comic, honest portrayal of the college condition has resonated for everyone, whether they had sex in college or not. We can’t wait to see where these uniquely complex yet relatable characters will go next.”
