The Last Kingdom Season 5 plot
For those of you who have already read the book must have an idea by now about the summary or storyline of the fifth season and for those who haven’t read the book, here’s a summary of what to expect from the upcoming season.
In Season 4, it wrapped the events of ‘The Pagan Lord’ and ‘The Empty Throne.’
Alexander Dreymon in conversation with Radio Times about the upcoming season talked about the challenges the production team has with an ageing Uhtred.
“We’re faced with that problem now, getting into season 5 where Uhtred is technically… I think he starts at 54 and ends up at 60 in the books. That’s a problem right now because how do we make it look like Uhtred has aged without it looking comical? We’re working on it.”
The upcoming season of The Last Kingdom will probably cover the events of the ninth and tenth novels, ‘Warriors of the Storm’ and ‘The Flame Bearer.’
If in case The Last Kingdom season 5 isn’t able to cover the events of the ninth and tenth novels then we would expect the show to have two more seasons.
However, it’s possible that the last season of The Last Kingdom may be able to cover the events of the five novels. Let’s hope that Uhtred’s story will get an ending that he deserves and a satisfactory conclusion to the viewers.
