The Grand Tour is a British car-based reality series that is available to stream on Amazon Prime. The series is created by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, and Andy Wilman. It first premiered on November 18, 2016.
Fans are desperate and anxiously waiting for a new episode or maybe a new season. Richard Hammock also expressed the difficulty and “problem” they’re facing with filming new instalments.

Will The Grand Tour season 5 return?
The Grand Tour shall be indeed returning for a season 5 but due to some complications because of the pandemic, another season was unable to happen until “touring” could begin again, but the good news is that the showmakers teased a new special episode.
Richard Hammond joined Susanna Reid and Adil Ray. He spoke about his new TV show – restoring classic cars – as well as The Grand Tour and when it shall be returning to Amazon Prime Video. The presenter said another season was unable to happen until “touring” could resume, but teased a new special episode.
Susanna Reid and Adil Ray, joined by Richard on a chat with OBE on Good Morning Britain asked, “I said ‘What’s happening with The Grand Tour’ and you said the keyword is?”
Richard responded, “Tour, that’s the main problem. It has been a bit difficult, but we are continuing to explore what we can do. Actually, we have done, but I can’t talk about it at length now because somebody will shout at me somewhere, but we have done a few local, UK based ones and they’ve been great fun and we’re really pleased about them.”
The Grand Tour will carry on filming in 2021 despite lockdowns, travel constraints, and several spin-off shows for the presenting trio.
The Grand Tour Season 5 Release Date: When is it?
There is no information regarding the release date of the fifth season but we do know that filming commenced on March 2022.
As for now, no information has been provided as to where the grand tour team will lead to.
Richard teased that last year, the team headed to Scotland where they managed to shoot a special, and ever since then they’ve been engaged filming other specials.
The official The Grand Tour Twitter account recently hit back at fans asking for the next special.
In February, The Grand Tour’s official Twitter account answered some of the fans’ questions and wrote: “Let’s play the yes, no game. Yes, the next Special will come out later this year.”
“No, we don’t know when. Yes, we went to Scotland.“
“No, there’s no more information currently. Yes, we will update you when we know more. #TheGrandTour.”
It’s expected that season 5 of The Grand Tour will arrive by the end of 2022 or in early 2023.
