Big Bang Theory is a hugely popular series that everyone loves as the show is notoriously known for its brilliantly witty humor that can make you burst out in laughter and cry actual tears (Yep, it’s that funny). But are we getting a new season soon? Let’s find out.
Well, it seems like the series is on a hiatus since we haven’t heard anything from the showrunners regarding its potential new season.
To put it, it’s been nearly three years since the eleventh season aired and fans can’t help but get anxious about the prospect of the show’s future but following the massive success of the series, fans need not worry as the creators will for sure return with a new season.
Moreover, viewers are curious to know if Raj will have his happily ever after since he’s the only one who’s still unmarried among his group of geniuses. Well eventually Raj was supposed to get married to Anu but it didn’t work out in the end. So if the series returns we’ll get to see more of him.
Is Big Bang Theory Season 13 Happening?
No one knows for yet and While everyone was complaining on how the show ended it looks like Jim Parsons was the only one who was fine with it. “I don’t mean this in a bad way, because I loved every episode we did,” Parsons stated. “I really did, but I didn’t get a jolt out of playing the part anymore. Look, it was a wonderful job. I’m sure plenty of people hear that and they’re like, ‘I don’t get a jolt out of my job either.’ I completely get that. It’s just a different situation in that way.”
They surely would have made season 13 if only anyone had requested
When the series came to an end, all the cast members were being paid handsomely. To renew a new season would have cost a fortune but at the same, the program managed to earn a hefty amount. Parsons stated he’s certain the whole cast would have considered a proposition, but it looks like no one did so.
“I believe fully they would have done more seasons of Big Bang if we had agreed to as a group,” said Parson. “The fact was we really never got an offer. So there was never a moment that I actually said no to an amount of money or a contract. There was nothing.”
Big Bang Theory Season 13 Release Date: When Is It?
We do know that season 12 wasn’t the last. It was announced previously by CBS that the show won’t end with the 12th season. This means that there’s a possibility of the show returning with another season run. However, CBS still hasn’t renewed the series and there is no information from the showrunners at all.
It’s also being speculated that the pandemic thwarted the plans of season 13 and it’s currently rumored to be still in development. If the series’ new season is really in development, new episodes won’t arrive until late 2022 or sometime in 2023.

What Would Happen In Season 13 of The Big Bang Theory?
Plot details are scarce as nothing has been revealed by the showrunners. It is expected that Season 13 of The Big Bang Theory will consist of 24 episodes and a runtime of 18 to 22 minutes. And just like the last twelve seasons, the chaotic comedic foursome is anticipated to deliver us with plenty of comic sequences.
As for the storyline for the forthcoming season, the story would most probably continue from where it left off. In season 12, Leonard and Penny were expecting a child while Sheldon and Amy were seen to be raising two kids. Now that they’ve settled and have their own family, the next season will center around their busy lives – raising their kids, living life as husband and wife. Raj appears to be the only one who is unmarried since his relationship with Anu didn’t work out. So it’s likely the upcoming season will explore more on Raj’s story and hopefully, find his match.
