Spanish television drama series Alba has not yet officially been renewed for season 2. An adaptation of the popular original Turkish series called ‘Fatmagül’ün Suçu Ne?’, Alba initially premiered on Atresplayer Premium in March 2021. Set in the town of Marina Baixa, Alba is the story of a young and ambitious girl named Alba. Alba, played by Elena Rivera, is a young university student who is dating Bruno, played by Eric Masip. Bruno is a typical chocolate boy and stud who resides in the same town as Alba.

However, the spirit of holidays turns into a horrific and depressive experience where Alba wakes up on the beach only to find that she has been gang raped by her boyfriend’s close friends.
It is exceptionally difficult for actresses to take up such challenging roles and perform it in an absolutely commendable manner. Elena Rivera did such thing. While talking to Télé-Loisirs, Elena Rivera vocalized how she accepted such a difficult and challenging role in the series and how she did complete justice to the character of Alba. Elena said, “As an actress, I had to play this victim who tells her story over and over again without being believed. It was difficult and I was trying to feel what she might feel in that kind of situation. I believe that it is a series necessary to show once again that this kind of act exists.”
She furthermore revealed that shooting such an explicit rape scene did affect her for a few days that followed. She was particularly shaken and affected by the fact that when filming such a scene can take a serious toll on her then what would the survivors actually go through in real life.

Will we get to see Alba Season 2?
Looking at the Alba Season 1 finale, the chances of getting another season of Alba are pretty slim. This is primarily because the season 1 finale concluded pretty naturally and wrapped up the loose ends effectively leaving no unanswered questions. The season 1 finale saw a natural conclusion to the series where Alba was given justice, and all of her male perpetrators were punished.
Apart from this, it’s been over 8 months now that the season 1 of the series premiered and we haven’t heard any official news concerning Alba Season 2 renewal. Hence, it is safe to consider that the series won’t be coming back for another season.
