Apple TV + has confirmed that its spy thriller, Slow Horses is returning for a second run. And fans are hyped up by this news. The series is inspired by Mick Herron’s 2010 novel series, that ran from April 1, 2022 and concluded on 29th April 2022, with its finale episode teasing us as to where things are likely to go in the next round. Additionally, we also have no dearth of content material for season two of Slow Horses. With that said, here’s everything revealed so far about Slow Horses Season two, casting news, release date, and more:
Slow Horses Season two Release date: What’s it its premiere date?
Although there is no confirmed date as to when Slow Horses will be back on the streamer, given its progress, it will not be too long since we see more of Slough Horse. The series director, James Hawes has told in an interview with Deadline that the next six episodes have already been filmed, and will air sometime in late 2022. Thus, that implies that the series has entered its post-production phase at this point and is all ready to release its future season sooner than later.
Viewers may catch up with Slow Horses Season one on Apple TV + while patiently waiting for its second outing.
The slow Horses Season two Plotline: What’s it about?
As mentioned before, season two will be based on Herron’s second book titled Dead Lions, which focuses on Russian sleeper troops within British society. As of now, Herror has published 12 books, and we are not certain yet whether creators would stick to one book for one season or not. Moreover, season one’s finale episode left a few threads dangling, by unveiling Lamb and River’s grandfather’s past engagement. That said, the story has infinite future possibilities. Those of you who have read all of Mick’s books, might not be exactly thrilled to see what follows next in Slough House. However, that does not make us any less exciting for Slow Horses Season two.
Slow Horses Season 2 Casting info: Who’s in the cast?
Slow Horses cast has its charm, and given the tedious selection process it took to bring the cast on board, there is the least hazard of any significant change in it. With that, Slow Horses Season two will bring most of season two’s cast members including:
Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb
Jack Lowden as River Cartwright
Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner
Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish
Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright
Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho
Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy
Dustin Demri-Burns as Min Harper
Although Olivia Cooke’s character Sidonie Sid Baker met a tragic end in season one, we have a sneak suspicion that Cooke may return at some point in the series. This is because her name is cleared from records, meaning she might not be dead yet. In addition, we reckon that new faces will also pop up in season two with Rade Šerbedžija as former Russian agent Nikolai Kaminsky. Reports suggest that Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Peaky Blinders fame), and Kadiff Kirwan ( This Is Going To Hurt) are new additions to the cast, however, what roles they would play are not revealed yet. But Mick’s second book brings new characters to Slough House- Marcus Longridge and Shirley Dander. Thus, we assume that Kirwan and Edwards would fit into one of these roles.
