Shimoneta season 2: Renewal status, Release date and updates

Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist (下 ネ タ と い う 概念 が 存在 し な い 退 屈 な 世界) or “Shimoneta” for short, is set in a dystopian future where the Japanese government has cracked down on language and behavior that it views as immoral.

Here are all the updates that you need to know about Shimoneta season 2, including its renewal status, release date, cast, plot, and other updates!

Shimoneta season 2: What’s the show about?

Officially Shimoseka in Japan is a Japanese light novel series written by Hirotaka Akagi and illustrated by Ito Shimotsuki.

The first season of the anime was appreciated by the fans and critics a lot. It ended with the discovery of an old mansion with graphic, vulgar treasures.

The characters of the series took a pledge that they will make sure that these notorious treasures are out in the world some day. This would furnish the writers a chance to tackle the project as they have plenty of potential for future stories.

Shimoneta season 2 renewal status: Renewed or canceled?

Jc Staff, the studio that produced the first season of Shimoneta, has neither renewed nor canceled the show.

At first, the creators said that the show would be on our screens in late 2020, but when we arrived in December, the creators changed the statement again and said- “We’ll do the show in 2021.”

Well, it’s 2022 now, and we still do not have any potential updates to infer. There may be delays in the production, owing to the COVID scenario, but now that everything’s under control, we can soon expect its release.

Shimoneta season 2 might be released by the end of 2022. We’ll keep you updated, if we receive more news on the subject. Please subscribe to us or bookmark this page!

Shimoneta season 2: Is there enough source material to produce another season?

The author has published eleven volumes in the LN series so far. He finished the Prakash novel series back in 2016. Besides, the first season of the anime had already adapted the plot by its eighth volume.

That signifies that JC Staff Studio does not have enough source material to produce season 2. Maybe that’s the reason why the show hasn’t been greenlit, as of now. This is really a concern for the fans because without ample source material, there may not be a second season.

Shimoneta season 2 release date: When’s it going to premiere?

Season one premiered in 2015 and ended in September 2015. The show has already made us wait for a long time and still we have not received any new update.

Given the popularity of season one, the show should definitely make a comeback. However, without much source material, we can’t be so sure.

As for Shimoneta season 2 release date, no official announcements have been made by the makers or producers of the show.

However, rumors about the release of season two are on the air, and no specific dates have been revealed. But looking at the current scenario, we are confident that the show will drop a sequel by the end of 2022.

Shimoneta season 2 cast: Which characters are going to return for the second season?

The show features Yusuke Kobayashi in Japanese and Tanukichi Okuma starring Josh Grell in English, Ayam Kajou starring Shizuoka Ishigami in Japanese, and Jamie Marchi in English, Anna Nishikinomiya starring Miyu Matsuki in Japanese,

And Monica Ryal in English and Ottom. In the event that the game reverts to the older characters, they can play their roles again.

Shimoneta season 2 plot: What can we expect from the storyline?

Shimoneta is a series produced by Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand.

The story of season 2 is in Japan where individuals are cramped under a system of brutal sanctions. A hero named Tanukichi listens to his voice. The rules of management are a threat to his order. So, he plots the individuals with his dangerous rule.

As for the plot, we can’t really predict the storyline for season 2, as we have literally zero news to derive conclusions from.
