Created by Carlos López “Santo” is a Spanish-Brazilian crime action thriller TV series with heavy occult fiction components. The series is directed by Vicente Amorim and stars Raúl Arévalo, Bruno Gagliasso, Victoria Guerra, and Greta Fernández. The first season consisting of six episodes in total was released in September 2022, on Netflix.
The story revolves around Madrid and Salvador. It’s about two police agents from Spain and Brazil tracking a drug dealer (Santo) whose identity has never been shown affiliated with occult-related crimes.
Santo is not a typical drug trader, but he is a very dangerous man who also acts as the supervisor of a cult that executes mortal sacrifices and numerous other horrendous satanic ceremonies. This is not an uncomplicated case as one else is willing to reveal any input on who Santo is and the drug trader is linked to influential people and has managed to keep his identity well hidden for years.
Has Santo Been Renewed For Season 2?
As of October 2022, Santo has not been greenlit for a second installment. There’s been no official announcement on whether the program will be picked up for another season run and given the series has only been released a month ago, Netflix will probably wait it out to see its audience.
There are considerable aspects to evaluate, the most central one being the production as the sixth episode series is filmed in two different nations which is Brazil and Spain.
Nonetheless, we’ll surely update this part with proper information over the coming days when we learn more!
Santo Season 2 Release Date: When is it?
Because Santo has yet to be officially renewed for a second run, there’s no air date scheduled as of now.
However, if the program is offered the green signal for renewal, fans can expect season two sometime in 2023 or early 2024 based on when the streaming giants provide the go-ahead. So there’s no need to fret, as soon as they do, we’ll be quick to update this section.

Santo Season 2 Plot: Expectations
Given the nature of the show which the first season concluded on a big cliffhanger, there are high hopes that the streamer will be continuing the program and fans will get to learn the destiny of Millán’s daughter and Barbara. Also, many things were left unanswered and hopefully, the new season will resolve all the issues.
