Peacock’s hit comedy sitcom, Rutherford Falls is back with its season second. The series that first landed in April 2021 on the network, got a quick renewal in July 2021, thanks to its warm reception from audiences and critics alike. However, the Ed Hemes-led series did not premiere until 6th June 2022. Like its predecessors, the show’s finale has left unanswered questions that have already set up the stage for a season three. Additionally, things did not work well between Nathan and former Mayor Deirdre after the former left the town after learning that he is not related to the flounder of Rutherford falls (whose statue he tried protecting throughout season one). Now Deirdre is carrying Nathan’s baby, but she thinks that Nathan is not ready to be a father yet. But seems that Deirdre has a change of mind by season one’s end, yet Nathan has to give explanations bout his involvement with her midwife. That considered, season three has the potential to go in several directions.
But more stories could further develop in season three like Reagan’s plans for a singles housing project for those who are having snug in adhering to federation rules to get a piece of land for themselves. Although Terry has warned Reagan that it will be a challenging project, still the Minishonka nation resident is adamant in her endeavors. Moreover, we have a new Mayor, Bobbie in season two, who has a relationship with Terry and Nathan. So, on and on, season three is likely to explore many stories.
Rutherford Falls season 3’s possible cast
Ed Helms and Jana Schmieding play the series’ central characters, Nathan Rutherford and Reagan Wells respectively. Aside from them, the series also has other cast members including Michael Greyeyes as Terry Thomas, the CEO of the local Minishonka casino; Jesse Leigh as Bobbie Yang, Rutherford’s assistant; Dana L. Wilson as Mayor Deirdre Chisenhall; and Dustin Milligan as New York Times journalist, Josh Carter. In addition to these, the ensemble also consists of Geraldine Keams, Ben Koldyke, Adam Farabee, and Mimi Gianopulos.
Helms has created the series alongside Michael Schur and Sierra Teller Ornelas. The trio has executive produced the comedy series along with David Miner and Morgan Sackett. Schur and Helms have collaborated previously on projects like The Office, whereas Ornelas and Schur have worked on NBC’s hit, Brooklyn Nine-nine.
