Finally, ‘Raising Dion’ is back in action after a long wait of two freaking years!! Now, we will get a chance to live Dion’s journey again, and will (again) see our little superhero protecting the people living nearby. Raising Dion is an American Superhero Drama Streaming TV Series that was first released on October 4, 2019, on Netflix. This action drama superhero series is based on the comic book and short films released in 2014, created by Dennis Liu. A few days after its release, this show has managed to create a huge fan following and was very much appreciated by the audience, especially among the kids. 

 

The series follows a journey of a woman named Nicole Warren (Alisha Wainwright) and her son Dion. In this story, we see that a woman single-handedly takes care of her child after the death of her husband. Further in the series, Dion starts to personify some sort of magical powers and superheroes abilities – and protects her country. Keeping the hype and success of the previous show in mind, the creators released the second installment of the series on 1 February 2022. The second season also proved to be a super hit one! Not to mention, the show has also been highly appreciated by the critics and got good ratings on all the rating aggregate sites.

Raising Dion season 3: Release Date?

As we know, the first season of the series was released in 2019 whereas the second one was in 2020. Both of them proved to be a hit show in terms of viewership as well as ratings. 

 

Looking at the gap from last season, season 3 has been delayed a lot. It’s only probable that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, its production time got delayed. However, considering the success of the season and its fan base, it would be foolish to think about the cancellation of the upcoming season. So, nope, the show won’t be canceled. We are getting a renewal for season 3!!

 

As of now, no official announcement regarding the renewal of season 3 of Raising Dion has been made by Netflix, but its arrival has already been confirmed. The finale of the last season has ended with a twist and left a lot of doubts in the public’s mind. The question is swirling in everyone’s mind: will Pat return in the coming season? If all goes well, then by mid-2022, we may certainly expect the official announcement of season 3.

Raising Dion season 3: Cast?

While Netflix has not yet announced anything related to the third installment of Raising Dion, we can still anticipate some of the characters to reappear in the third season (keeping the finale episode of the previous season in mind).   • Ja’Siah Young will be seen as  Dion Warren, the main character of the story (Nicole’s only son with superhero-like abilities).
  • Jasmine Simon will be seen in the role of Kate Neese, Nicole’s sister and a surgeon by profession. 
  • Sammi Haney would be seen as Esperanza Jimenez, who plays Dion’s best friend and a classmate too.
  • Jason Ritter would perform as Pat Rollions, who is an engineer in a company called BIONA, also Dion’s godfather.
  • Griffin Robert Faulkner would be seen as Brayden Mills.
  • Alo Ahn as Sunanne Wu as a scientist and CEO of the company called BIONA, and many more characters as well.

Raising Dion season 3: Plot

As of this writing, no official announcement has been made by Netflix regarding the plot of the upcoming edition. Keeping an eye on the ending of the last season, we can speculate that season 3 will start from where the previous season ended.
