ABC’s Queens has received positive reviews from the viewer’s world over. Debuted on 19th October 2021, Queens features the story of a quartet, Jill, Brianna, Naomi, and Valeria, who were the face behind the Nasty Bichtes, a popular 1990’s hip-hop band. However, some internal conflicts led to the disintegration of the disintegrated and the women went their separate paths. But there comes an opportunity for the women now in their 40’s to reclaim their fame and find their identities as individuals. So are they ready to take this chance and achieve their ambitions? Zahir McGhee’s Queens made the fans cry and laugh all at once. After its finale episode left us with a small cliffhanger, fans are curious to know what awaits in store for them. Disappointingly, the production house and the show creators have not divulged much about a potential season two of Queens. Having said that, we are hopeful that Queens season two will see the light of day sooner than later. Read below every known detail about season 2 of Queens:

 

Queens season 2 Release date: When will it be out?

 

There are no available specifics regarding the official airing date of the second installment of Queens. But if we believe the speculations surrounding the follow-up, the series is likely to return sometime in 2022. AS of now, the dates are not clear, so the fans have to wait patiently until the series is greenlit by the network. 

 

Season one of Queens is available for streaming on Hulu. It includes a 13-episode count that aired weekly till 15th February 2022 from its premiere in mid-October, 2021. 

 

We could expect season two with the same number of episodes as its predecessor. But without any accurate details, it is hard to predict the fate of the drama series. So we will leave this part for later. 

 

Queens season 2 Plot: What it will be about?

 

Although it is too early to disclose the plot of Queens Season two, we anticipate that the series will return with more laughter, drama, and of course, music for its viewers. The last season saw the main characters, Brianna, Jill, Valeria, and Naomi figuring out themselves and reuniting for good. 

 

Brianna, also known as Professor Sex, has been seen on the show since Darren nearly shot her dead. It will be a great surprise for the audience if Brianna joins the Queens world tour in the potential season two. In addition, Jill’s love affairs are also what we look forward to in part two. Whether Jill will get back with Tina or will Jill has to look for love again? Nothing could be said yet as no exact plot details are known at this point. 

 

However, there is one more character whose love life is not going all that smooth. Valeria broke up with Thomas and still has no luck in finding her birth mother. So her personal story can take an interesting shape in the upcoming episodes. Naomi married off to Eric, their manager, so we see her balancing family life with her dreams. Moreover, Naomi’s daughter, Jojo has a revelation to make in the next set of episodes. The fans are also keen to know who is the real father of Jojo- Eric or Cameron. All and all-season two of Queens will be the answer to a few burning questions. 

 

Queens season 2 Cast: Who will be returning?

 

Since Queens season two has not made the official announcement, we have no details about the cast of the series. With that said, the fans would love to see the original cast suiting up for another season. 

 

Naturi Naughton essaying her character of Jill Da Thrill, who defines the Queens. Brandy Norwood reprising her role as Naomi ‘Xplicit Lyrics’. In Season one, Naomi played a huge role in bringing back the women together after two decades. She has been a dedicated member of the queens since then. The sequel will also bring into the folds Nadine Velazquez as Valeria Mendez. As much as we long to see Eve as Brianna in season two, we hope that the creators also have a plan to get her into the story. 

 

Other than this, many supporting cast may also appear in the sequel. To name a few,  Taylor Sele as Eric Jones, Pepi Sonuga as Lauren “Lil Muffin” Rice, Felisha Terrel as Tina Dubois, Precious Way as Jojo Harris. Season one featured a guest appearance from Lucius Baston as DJ Kool Red. Queens is known for its guest roles by prominent actors, so season two may also portray outstanding guest appearances.
