Pen 15 season 3: Will it be renewed or cancelled?

Hulu officially confirmed the release of the second instalment of Pen 15 in May 2019. Rumours have it that the second season will be the finale season of the series. However, nothing is officially announced yet. That said, we are not quite sure whether the show will be renewed for another season. If it does – well, that’s a treat. Who wants to miss out on the entertainment potion anyway? 

Going by the reviews the show received, we can somewhat make a judgement. Pen 15 received an appreciable rating of 8 out of 10 on IMDb. Cringe humour abounds in the series. The show also reaped helluva praises from the audiences – and the critics loved the show as well. 

Pen 15 season 3 release date: When’s it going to premiere?

Although there has been no official confirmation as to whether or not the show will be renewed for a third season, we do have a release date. According to previous schedules, the show was set to premiere on 14th February 2025. 

However, the Hulu network hasn’t made any official declarations, as of this writing. We will keep you posted in case we receive more updates. Stay tuned! 

Pen 15 season 3 plot: What can we expect from the storyline?

Erskine and Konkle spoke with Harper’s Bazaar about what’s to come in the second half of season 2, claiming that their characters would be exposed to new situations. Konkle stated, “They’re going through another round of firsts. The inaugural season had a slew of firsts. This seven-episode run is the payback for all the firsts. It’s as though they’re wondering, ‘Who am I?’ What exactly is this? Is this my adolescence? ‘Am I a child?’ Then the next leg is like, ‘OK, I’m a teen.’ Here are some of my firsts. ‘I can take anything now.’

From unrequited romances to bonded friendships and popularity concerns, the previous two seasons of Pen 15 attentively explored these themes that we inevitably struggled to recall as 13-year-olds. With the character still in the 7th standard, there’s got to be more of these in the future. 

As we saw towards the end of season 2, both pals were in trouble. Maya was distraught after Gabe broke up with her. While Ana was completely shattered by the fact that her parents were getting divorced. In season 3, we might get to see more of this storyline.

However, given the fact that the show developers have made zero revelations about Pen 15 season 3, it’s difficult to predict the entire plot. Heck, we’re not even sure whether season 3 will even hit the screens or not! Whatever it is, we will keep you guys updated. Stay tuned!
