Overlord is an English abbreviation of a Japanese light novel manga series named オーバーロード. Created by so-bin and written by Kugane Maruyama, the series is an adaptation of the manga series by Satoshi Ōshio, with art by Hugin Miyama, and began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten’s manga magazine Comp Ace on November 26, 2014. The series premiered its first episode on July 7, 2015, on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS, TV Aichi, BS11, and MBS. 

The series is produced by Kazufumi Kikushima, Satoshi Fukao, Noritomo Isogai, Yuki Yoshida, Shō Tanaka, and Toyokazu Nakahigashi in association with Madhouse Studios.

Overlord Season 5 Release Date

As we have watched the fourth installment of Overlord, which aired from July 5, 2022, and premiered its finale episode on September 27, 2022, on AT-X. The fans are now waiting for the fifth installment. However, there is no official announcement of the release date of season 5 since the renewal is unknown yet. With hope in mind, we can anticipate that this series will probably release in 2023.
