Never Have I Ever Season 2: Release Date
Never Have I Ever season one premiered on Netflix on April 27, 2020. The filming of season one was incepted back on July 14, 2019. The production of the series was completed on October 31, 2019.
On July 1, 2020, the series was renewed for season two by Netflix. The famed online streaming series has announced that season two would premiere on July 15, 2021. As per reports, the production of season two commenced on November 10, 2020, in Universal Studios and was wrapped up in March 2021.
Kaling posted on Twitter on March 12 2022, that reads:
“Hey crickets! We’ve got some morning announcements for you: season 3 of Never Have I Ever is gonna drop this summer! Plus, we’ve just been renewed for a fourth and final season, which we are absolutely thrilled about. We can’t wait to reveal all the steamy romance and hilarious adventures we have in store for you. Thanks to all our fans for your support – especially you Bevi and Daxton stans. We love you!”
So we except that the new season will be dropped between June to August 2022.
Never Have I Ever Season 2: Cast
Season one of the series featured Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi Vishwakumar, Poorna Jagannathan as Dr. Nalini Vishwakumar, Darren Barnet as Paxton Hall Yoshida, Ramona Young as Eleanor Wong, Lee Rodriguez as Fabiola Torres, Richa Moorjani as Kamala, Jaren Lewison as Ben Gross, John McEnroe as the narrator and Mohan’s idol.
The other cast included Niecy Nash as Dr. Jamie Ryan, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Mohan Vishwakumar, Eddie Liu as Steve, Christina Kartchhner as Eve, Benjamin Norris as Trent Harrison, Dino Petrera as Jonah Sharpe, Jae Suh Park as Joyce Wong, Adam Shapiro as Mr. Shapiro and Cocoa Brown as Principal Grubbs. Netflix has confirmed that Maitreyi would be reprising her role of Devi in season 2. In addition, it is expected that the other main cast, including Richa, Jaren, Darren, Lee, and Ramona, would be making a return in season 2. Additionally, season two might witness a new cast joining the team. One such addition is Megan Suri, who would essay the new student at Sherman Oaks High, Tyler Alvarez, as Malcolm in season 2.
Never Have I Ever Season 2: Plot
Season one revolved around the life of Devi Vishwakumar at Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. Devi’s father passes away, and her legs are paralyzed for three months. Devi experiences a horrible freshman year which makes her desire to change her social status. She juggles dealing with her grief, Indian identity, and school life. Post her father’s death; she struggles with her relationship with her mother, cousin, best friends, and high school crush Paxton.
While the plot for season 2 has been kept under wraps, the trailer hints that it is likely to pick up from season one. This means we would see more of Devi getting stuck between her two love interests Ben and Paxton. Additionally, her mom decides to return to India, which makes Devi end updating both secretly. I season two; a new girl would be introduced who would prove to be a threat to Devi. While Devi would compete with the new girl, her mother gets her share of romance when she meets a dermatologist.
