Has Netflix canceled the show ‘The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself’?

Unfortunately, yes. The author of the show Green said that they were extremely sorry that Netflix was not renewing the show for a second season. Actor Jay Lycurgo mentioned how there was a lot to tell in the story of these characters and how beautifully the makers of the show created them. But things don’t always work in our favor and that’s okay.

The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself was a huge hit among the audience and was received extremely well by them. It even ranked in the ‘Top 10 Most-Watched Shows” list of Netflix across 70 countries. However, all of this just wasn’t enough for the streaming platform to affirm its renewal.

The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself Season 2 Airing Date

Well, well, well, since there is no season 2 of the supernatural drama, there won’t be an airing date for the same. The fans of the show were eagerly waiting for Netflix to announce the renewal of the series a few weeks after it debuted on October 28, 2022. However, Netflix did not confirm a renewal even after a month. Sometime later, fans were informed of the sad news that their favorite series would not be continued, and all of us would never have peace knowing how it ended in the season 1 finale.

The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself Season 2 Plotline

The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself season 2 plotline will never see light. Netflix has canceled the show and fans will never get a chance to dwell more in the supernatural world of Nathan Byrne. The show is based on a book named Half Bad by Sally Green.

The first season focused on Nathan Byrn, the illegitimate son of the world’s strongest witch Marcus. He is caught between two violently warring clans as he tries to find a place for himself and his powers in the world. It was highly anticipated that the second installment of the show will continue the plotline and will be based on the book Half Bad. According to the author and the actors, there was a lot that was left to show the audience, several storylines were expected to unravel, new characters introduced, and old characters evolved. However, none of it will now happen as the show has not been renewed for a second season.

The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself Season 2 Cast

If there was a season 2, it was highly expected that the lead actors would return to reprise their roles. Jay Lucargo reprising as Nathan Byrn, Nadia Parkes as Annalise O’Brien, and Emilien Vekemans as Gabriel were among the few to return to the screens.

However, we will not get to see these actors move forward with our favorite characters anymore.
