Love Island a British reality dating game show launched its seventh season on June 28, 2021, with Laura Whitmore who served as the host on ITV2 and narrated by lain Stirling for the seventh season as well. It was initially scheduled to premiere in mid-2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic happened and things didn’t go exactly as planned. As a result, the premiere date had to be pushed back.
In the seventh season of Love Island, artist Mable made a quick appearance at a party hosted by Spotify and performed a few of her greatest hits including her latest single “Let Them Know.”
The last season was won by Liam Reardon and Millie Court accumulating 42.02 per cent of the ultimate vote, and they became the first-ever couple of late recruits to finish off the series as the victor. While Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran were the runners-up.
When this season Love Island was launched, it became the second most-watched series earning a decent score of 4.17 million spectators. Now that the seventh season has served us with a lot of dramas and entertainment, fans are still hyped and eagerly looking forward to the next season and here’s what we know about it.
Release date of Love Island season 8: When is it?
Although show is renewed for another season and as of now, it’s not known when the next season will be released. Given the tremendous love and support received from the fans across the globe, the series likely will return sooner then you think. And guess what? Love Island season 8 is scheduled to arrive on September 4, 2022.
The cast of Love Island season 8: Who’s in it?
The cast members for the upcoming season is kept under wraps. However, we do expect that Laura Whitmore would return and host the eight season with Iain Stirling as the narrator.
Currently, the casting teams for Love Island season 8 are perhaps auditioning for potential contestants. Henceforth, it’s pretty much unknown who will be cast for the next season. The show makers possibly might have a few names in mind, but nothing is confirmed for now.
The last season had 37 contestants competing for the show and the series was won by 21-year-old Liam Reardon and 24-year-old Millie Court.
The upcoming season will likely have the same number of contestants or maybe more but let’s leave this decision to the casting directors as presently, they are on the look out for the perfect candidate and it’ll probably take some time till the names of the contestants are finally revealed.
What to expect from season 8 of Love Island?
Usually, the reality show is videographed on the beautiful Balearic Island of Majorca situated in Sant Llorenc des Cardassar, a secluded and small portion of the island. We previously saw the villa back in 2019 and underwent quite a gap in the show due to the pandemic and the sad demise of host Caroline Flack, per CNN.
But luckily, fans got to the same set-up in the seventh season. This made fans speculate that the eighth season will be filmed in the predicted location.
