To the delight of the fans, the fourth film of John Wick was greenlit before the airing of John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. In early reports, it was stated that the fourth and fifth parts of John Wick shall go into production back to back. When is John Wick chapter 5 getting released?

 

The fate of the John Wick 5 is largely dependent on its predecessor. Although the work on the fifth installment is underway, still we have no specific time frame to look at when it comes to its airing. Given that the creators have pushed back the fourth part’s release date, and announced a new airing date, our best guess is that John Wick 5 will probably take a while to hit the screens. As of now, it’s been confirmed Keanu led action movie is scheduled to launch on March 23, 2025.

It is early days for the fifth installment of John Wick. Therefore, telling the storyline is not easy. But on the safe side, John Wick 5 will be set after the occurrences of the fourth installment, which is also due to air on 27th May 2022. It is likely that Keanu Reeves will be at the center stage of John Wick 5, and bring intense action that would keep the viewers hooked till the end.

We have a sneak suspicion that many, if not all of the cast of John Wick 4 would return for the fifth installment. The show creators released an official statement about the cast of the fourth chapter.  Donnie Yen, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, and Hiroyuki Sanada would appear in the upcoming part, however, nothing has been revealed about their respective roles in the film series. So, it is safe to say that these stars will make a comeback. 

 

Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski would be at the helm of the fifth installment whereas it is expected that Chad Stahelski would return to his directorial role. 

 

The show owners have brought Shay Hatten and Michael Finch on board as scriptwriters for the fourth part, so, there is a chance of these two picking up their pens to write down a compelling story for the fifth installment.
