Infinite Stratos Season 3: Release Date
Season one of the series was telecasted from January 7, 2011, to April 1, 2011, on TBS, CBC, Sun Tv, KBS, BS-TBS. The light novel series was published on March 25, 2009. The novel created much buzz and, a year later, was adapted into a manga series. After the initial publication of the novel Infinite Stratos, an anime television series was made two years later.
Season one was succeeded by an original video animation episode called IS Infinite Stratos Encore-Koi Ni Kogareru premiered on December 7, 2011. Then, on October 4, 2013, Infinite Stratos season 2 was released. Another OVA episode followed the release, IS Infinite Stratos 2-World Purge-hen that premiered on November 26, 2014. Now the series is all set to make a return with a third season. Although there has been no official confirmation regarding the making of season 3, if it is made, then it would be released by 2023.
Infinite Stratos Season 3: Plot
Infinite Stratos is set in the distant future, and the story revolves around a Japanese scientist who creates a high-powered exoskeleton. The exoskeleton is designed to be used in combat, but the IS proves to be far ahead of the competition. It possesses firepower and has combat abilities laced with extant technology on the planet. Before the IS can be sent into military service, it is sent to Alaska treaty. A decade later, only women hold the capability to pilot IS suits.
The women have the ability to pilot advanced military technology and make its use in political, social, cultural, and economic spheres. The men are pushed to the fringes, and their only value is to serve their female overlords. In society, men have a subservient role. The show follows the story of 15-year-old boy Ichika orimura, who accidentally runs in with an IS suit changes his life. Ichika discovers that he is the only one who has the ability to pilot an IS suit. The news of it spreads, and Ichika rises to fame. Seeing Ichika’s potential, he is enrolled in a prestigious IS academy, Ichika is the only male in the academy, and the show displays his life a the academy. Season 3 would show Ichika’s struggles and how he strikes a balance between his responsibilities and dreams.
Infinite Stratos Season 3: Cast
In the previous seasons, ichika Orimura was voiced by Koki Uchiyama, Houki, Shinonono voiced by Yoko Hikasa, Cecilia Alcott voiced by Yukana, Lingyin Huang voiced by Asami Shimoda, and Charlotte Dunois voiced by kana Hanazawa.
The other cast includes Laura Bodewig, voiced by Marina Inoue, Tatenashi Sarashiki voiced by Chiwa Saito, Kanzashi Sarashii voiced by Suzuko Mimori, Chifuyu Orimura voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi, Maya Yamada voiced by Noriko Shitaya, Madoka Orimura voiced by Ai Kayano, and Squall Meusel voiced by Fumi Hirano. If season two is made, then it would feature the same cast from season one.

Takeaway:
As of May 2022, there have been official announcements regarding the third season of Infinite Stratos but it was previously mentioned that a third season was on the cards and will be the series’ final season although we don’t exactly know when fans will get to see to the new episodes the earliest we can expect is sometime in 2023. Till then, be patient and wait for the new season to arrive.
