Created by Adam Brooks with Paul Adelstein, ‘Imposters’ is an American dark comedy TV series produced by Villa Walk Productions and Riverrun Films distributed by NBC Universal Television for Bravo TV.

 

The series debuted on February 7, 2017, with a total of 10-episode. It declares openly in April 2015 titled ‘My So Called Wife’, the program centers on con artist Maddie (Inbar Lavi) who gets entangled in relationships with both men and women before fleeing them “used and robbed of everything – including their hearts”. Because of the popularity of the series, Bravo decided to renew the program for a second season on April 17, 2017, which was launched on April 5, 2018. However, on June 1, 2018, Bravo officially canceled the third season.

Why Did Bravo Cancel Imposters?

 

The cancellation announcement came as a surprise to many fans but at the same time, many saw it coming as the ratings were declining and viewerships were decreasing. However, the ratings were not so terrible of a reason to cancel the series. The first season accumulated a viewership of over 4 million viewers while the second season amassed only about half a million spectators. So it could be that the reason why Imposters was canceled was because of the lack of viewership.

As stated above, season 3 of Imposters was canceled by Bravo. Therefore, viewers would not be getting new episodes of this dark comedic series.

The Plot Of Imposters

 

The Imposters comedy series is based on a book composed by Adam Brooks of the same name. The story is about a man who impersonates multiple identities and has to put on a facade and act like he’s not your average person but someone who has got much more interesting things up his sleeves. The things he says and acts must reflect on the character of the person he impersonates.
