High School DxD is a Japanese anime series adapted from the light novel series penned by Ichiei Ishibumi and exemplified by Miyama Zero. The story revolves around a teenager named Issei Hyoudou, a high school student at Kuoh Academy who wishes to become a harem king but met his end inflicted by his first date, who is a fallen angel. However, Rias Gremory, a red-haired devil princess brought Hyoudou back to life as a devil to serve her and her kin. Hyoudou’s close bond with Rias proves to be dangerous to the rest of the angels, devils, and the fallen angels.
The light novel series was adapted into an anime series by TNK which premiered on Japan’s AT-X channel and other networks from January 6, 2012, to March 23, 2012. The anime series has produced a total of four seasons with many fans eagerly waiting for the fifth season.

High School DxD Season 5 Release Date: When Is It?
As of now, the official premiere date for season 5 of High School DxD hasn’t been announced yet. It is because a fifth season is not confirmed by the makers but if the anime returns, we can expect the new episodes to arrive at the end of the year or sometime in 2023.
The Cast of High School DxD Season 5: Who Will Return?
The official cast for the 5th season of High School DxD is not revealed as of yet. However, it’s expected the main characters as appeared in the previous three seasons will return once again including–

It’s most likely that the same studio squad will return for the fifth season as well. The previous three seasons were handled by Studio TNK while the fourth was done through Studio Passione and directed by Yoshifumi Sueda.
High School DxD Plot: What To Expect?
Plot details are scarce at the moment, however, the fourth season covered the light novel series volumes 9 and 10.
So, it’s likely that the fifth season will adapt volumes 11 & 12 of the light novel series. This means that Kyoudou will have to go through multiple tests and challenges to achieve a higher rank amongst the devils. Ranks are given based on an individual’s strength and hopefully, Kyoudou obtains a better rank.
It appears that season 5 will keep Kyoudou and his party a lot busy when it does finally air.
Where Can I Watch High School DxD Season 5?
The fifth season of High School DxD is expected to premiere either by the end of the year or sometime in 2023. So fans can watch the new episodes on TV Tokyo’s satellite channel AT-X.
It’s also been speculated that the anime series is heading to the popular streaming service platform- Netflix.

Although reports say that High School DxD Season 5 is most likely to kick off sooner now.
