Grand Blue Season 2: Release date, Storyline, and updates

Grand Blue is a Japanese manga series penned by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka and published by Kodansha. An anime adaptation television series was launched by Studio Zero-G in July till September 2018.

This anime series is adapted from five volumes of the Grand Blue manga series which has a total of 13 completed volumes. Although the first season wrapped years ago, there has been no word from the creators, indicating there is no assurance that the second season will be published. However, it is up to the studio to make the final decision. While many fans want to see more of Lori and Aina in season two and how their relationship will evolve in the future seasons, we can only wait and see how things unfold.

Also, there is enough source material for the creators to produce a second season and we don’t see the reason why they are taking such an awful lot of time making the fans more anxious. Well, if you’re here to find out more about season two of Grand Blue, you have come to the right place. Do give it a read till the end.

Will There Be a Season 2 of Grand Blue?

Nothing is known yet about season 2 of Grand Blue since it has not been renewed or canceled yet. The creators and writers will probably declare if a new season is happening and when it will arrive. Anime series mostly take a lot of time to release a new season or to get renewed, and maybe this is exactly what’s going on with this anime, or putting it blatantly, it’s uncertain if season 2 will even happen since it’s already been four years since the anime series debuted. However, let’s not lose hope and wait patiently.

When is the Premiere Date of Grand Blue Season 2?

Currently, there are no official updates about the second installment of this popular anime series. The series has neither been canceled nor renewed for now. What we can do right now is to patiently wait for the creators to make an announcement soon.

The first season was released on July 14, 2018, and ended on September 29, 2018. Fast forward to 2022, it’s been four years since the first season came out, and because there’s been no word from the studio, it’s uncertain whether the Grand Blue will return with a second season. But the fact that there’s been no cancellation announcement gives us a little hope for the series to return in the future.

So if season two ever happens, it is expected that a new batch of episodes will be out sometime in 2023 at the earliest.

Grand Blue Season 2 Story Expectations

As of now, there is no specific update on anything concerning season two yet but it will likely be announced soon. The Grand Blue anime series is a tale of a young guy named Lori Kitahara, who has many dreams. Lori is about to begin his college life and he is extremely looking forward to it. He’ll be going to the Izu Peninsula. In the new place, he has an Uncle who runs a shop called Grand Blue, which is a popular diving shop. It appears that the adventures have just begun for Lori and it’s going to be even more exciting in the second season.

So if a second season is renewed, the story will possibly continue from where the first season ended. All the things that were left hanging in season one will be explored in season 2 and hopefully, we’ll also get to see more of Lori and Aina. If we get any further updates on season two, we will update it right here. Till then, sit back and relax!
