Gemma Chan, Ralph Ineson and more to star in ‘True Love’

“True Love” is a forthcoming American sci-fiction flick penned, helmed, and produced by Gareth Edwards. The film stars Gemma Chan and Ralph Ineson alongside John David Washington, Allison Janney, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Marc Menchaca. However, Chan and Ineson’s roles in “True Love” are not known as everything is kept secret.

Moreover, this will be  Edwards’ first film to heed 2016’s “Rogue One” and when it does ultimately discharge, the filmmaker will have outstanding actors working to put together something extraordinary. Edwards also serves as a producer for the film along with Rogue One producer Kiri Hart and the movie’s backer New Regency.

Working on this film will reunite Edwards and Oscar-nominee cinematographer Greig Fraser who previously operated as director of photography on “Rogue One.” Fraser disclosed his involvement as he posted a picture on Instagram celebrating its first day of filming.

The post reads: “Can’t wait for you all to see the magic we’re cooking up.”

The filmmaker and the rest of the team clearly still like to maintain things under wraps as possible, as the last image indicates a whiteboard marked “True Love At a Glance” that’s mostly smeared out. The team appears reasonably positive about the movie’s quality and is extremely happy with it. “And that’s a wrap on True Love, directed by #GarethEdwards!” Soffer stated in the post. “Can’t wait for you all to see this special film we have made. Massive shout-out to our incredible Thailand and UK crews, and our partners.”

Gemma Chan is a widely known actress in the industry today. She had her major breakout role in the 2018 John M. Chu’s “Crazy Rich Asians.” The actress landed on another major role as Sersi on Marvel’s “Eternals” (2021), and she also recently got featured as the voice of Namaari in 2021 Disney’s animated action-adventure film “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Gemma Chan is represented by M88, Independent Talent Group, and WME.

Ralph Ineson is an English actor/narrator. He is best recognised for his serious, reverberating, strong Yorkshire-accented voice, some of his notable credits include, playing the role of William in “The Witch,” as Dagmer Cleftjaw in HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones,” as Amycus Carrow in the final three Harry Potter movies, as Donald Bamford in the BBC drama series “Goodnight Sweetheart,” as Chris Finch in the BBC dramedy “The Office,” and as Nikolai Tarakanov in the HBO’s miniseries “Chernobyl.”

“True Love” is planned to be launched on October 6, 2023, by 20th Century Studios.
