Eromanga Sensei Season 2: Release date, Cast, and Storyline

Eromanga Sensei is a Japanese anime series based on a light novel series penned by Tsukasa Fushimi and illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki.

The first season of the Eromanga Sensei anime series has a total of 12 episodes so far. The 12 episode first season aired April 9, to June 25, 2017. The anime series has also released two OVAs in 2019.

The first OVA is called “Yamada Elf’s Love Song”,  and the second OVA is called “Cooked Meals of Pure Love”. Both the OVAs are entertaining to watch.

So if you’re here to find out more about season 2, look no further. Stay with us till the end.

Will There Be a Season of Eromanga Sensei?

The most credible way to find whether or not a second season of Eromanga Sensei will happen is to check the source material status.

As of July 2022, there have been 12 volumes circulated in Japan for the Eromanga Sensei light novel series. There’s also a manga series on Eromanga Sensei but it has already been completed. The ending was rushed without covering all of the stories.

At this time, it’s uncertain that season 2 will happen. It’s been five years since the anime came out and no announcement has been made by the creators about a new season which clearly indicates a second season is not possible.

When is the Release Date for Eromanga Season 2?

There is no release date for Eromanga Sensei Season 2 because the author has stopped publishing new chapters as he is busy working on other projects. The Eromanga Sensei light novel series is still ongoing but it’s highly unlikely that the anime series will be back with another.

What Can We Expect From Season 2 of Eromanga Sensei?

Eromanga Sensei is a wonderful blend of romance and comedy and some ecchi moments. The story follows a girl named Sagiri Izumi and her step-brother Masamune Izumi. The tragic unexpected demise of their parents breaks their new family apart, leading to Sagiri becoming a total shut-in, which severed her ties with her step-brother and community.

When it comes to season 2, nothing is known as there has been no concrete update. The first season of Eromanga Sensei covers volume 4 of the light novel series while the two OVAs were adapted on volumes 1 to 3. So if you want to find out the rest of the story, you can start reading from volume 5 since the anime series probably will not return with season 2.
