Demon Lord, Retry! Season 2: What Will You Get To See?

Demon Lord, Retry! is a Japanese animated fantasy adventure series based on LN series inscribed by Kurone Kanzaki and exemplified by Koji Ogata and Amaru Minotake for first and second edition respectively. Subsequently, a manga adaptation designed by Amaru Minotake was serialized with Futabasha’s digitally Webcomic Action in October 2017. The J-Novel Club has consented to the LN and manga series for English publication in July 2019. The English-translated volume was first  circulated in November 2019.

Although the show was produced from a minor studio, it proved to be a success. The first season of Demon Lord, Retry! was well received from the audience across the globe. With just 12 episodes run, fans who have binge-watched the anime series wanted the show to continue which further leads to many fans demanding a second season. 

Following the success of the first season, fans have been patiently waiting for the next season however, we’re still yet to receive official announcements from the show makers. Also, the reason why fans are so hyped is that several rumours were circulating on social media about a possible sequel happening soon. What is Demon Lord, Retry! Anime about?

The tale of this series revolves around an ordinary individual called Akira Ono who is held in charge of MMORPG for fifteen years. One day, just as he was about to shut down its servers, he got sucked into the game. With his body features exactly like the demon lord of the game, Hakuto Kunai. Later, he met a girl named Aku who he saved from the demons.

Amid chaos and confusion, he noticed that there were many new characters which he didn’t create. Henceforth, he decided to go on a mission with only one objective in his mind and that is to find the person who brought him inside the game and for what reason.

Is Demon Lord Retry Season 2 Confirmed?

As of now, there’s no solid confirmation about a sequel however, there were speculations online that the show makers have bestowed the green signal to the second instalment of Demon Lord, Retry!

Nevertheless, the show makers have never acknowledged this information. There were tons of reports that began their own assumptions as in the first season’s finale, on the screen a message was displayed that said: “to be continued.” This gave rise to many fans believing that the show was renewed for the next season which, by the way, is not confirmed at all. However, it is safe to say that the second season might be in some kind of development, after all, it’s already been two years since the first season was out.

It’s highly possible that a Demon Lord, Retry Season 2 will happen. It might take a while for the second season to arrive but fans can expect to see it by the end of 2022 at the earliest. Until then, wait for further announcements from the creators.

The Voice Cast & Characters of Demon Lord, Retry! Season 2

If a second season happens, it’s expected that all the main characters will return in the upcoming season and reprise their roles including the whole voice cast.

  • Aku will be voiced by Kanon Takao
  • Luna Elegant will be voiced by Kaori Ishihara

Demon Lord, Retry! Season 2: What to Expect From The Plot?

It’s pretty much natural to be curious about the plot for the second season. Well, we’ve already mentioned above that the anime series was adapted from the LN series and as far as the second season is concerned, the studio responsible for producing Demon Lord, Retry! still has eight volumes to be serialized for the second season’s storyline.
