Dead to Me is a Netflix Emmy nominated comedy thriller series that has gained a lot of viewers due to its popularity and a second season will be coming soon. It is also confirmed that Dead to Me season 3 will be the final outing.
When Season 2 aired in May 2020, it ended with a major cliffhanger that raised so many questions but was left unanswered but it seems that the series which is up for a third season will hopefully answer those questions where the previous season left behind. It also took quite a while for Netflix to renew for the third season. But it’s finally happening!
Will there be Dead to Me season 3?
Yes, Season 3 will absolutely, definitely return! In July 2020, Netflix made an official announcement that the third and final season will return.
The creator of the series, Liz Feldman, noted, “Dead To Me is exactly the kind of show that I wanted to make. It’s been a wonderful gift. The act of telling a story that was born from loss and grief has challenged me as an artist and helped me to heal as a person.”
She further added, “I’ll always be indebted to my partners in crime and my friends for life, Christina, Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast, and crew.” She also expressed her gratitude towards Netflix who has been a great supporter of Dead To Me ever since the beginning.
Liz Feldman also told Deadline that she never planned the show to continue for too long. She already knows how the show will end, so despair not.
The friendship between Jen and Judy should be delivered with a satisfying conclusion and that’s all we want.
“There was a certain point when we were in production on Season 2 when the end of the show came to me, pretty profoundly, so I realized, ‘I know the story that I have to tell’ and Season 3 feels like the right time to do that,” Feldman explained. “It’s just something that came to me organically, and I tend to try to follow the gut feelings I have.”
