Tim Forbes and Joey Parnes serving as producers have declared openly the entire cast of the forthcoming stage production and it comprises three real K-pop stars and fans couldn’t be more excited.
More actual K-pop stars are set to star in Broadway’s forthcoming KPOP musical!
Former girl group Spica’s BoHyung, former boy group U-Kiss’s Kevin Woo, and former girl group Miss A’s Min have all been cast, joining them is none other than superstar Luna.
The official synopsis of the musical Broadway describes: “KPOP is the story of global superstars putting everything on the line for a special one-night only concert, when one singer’s inner struggle threatens to dismantle one of the biggest labels in the industry. Pulsing with infectious beats, electrifying choreography, and breathtaking joy, KPOP is an all-consuming multimedia experience that explores the relentless discipline, raw talent, and commercial ambition behind the heart-thumping international phenomenon.”
Summing up the full cast of the Broadway musical show includes: Amy Keum, James Kho, Marina Kondo, Julia Abueva, Major Curda, Jinwoo Jung, Jiho Kang, Eddy Lee, Joshua Lee, Jully Lee, Abraham Lim, Kate Mina Lin, Aubie Merrylees, Patrick Park, Zachary Noah Piser, John Yi, Lina Rose Lee, and Timothy H. Lee.

KPOP is being produced by Tim Forbes and Joey Parnes. The show was developed by Woodshed Collective alongside Jason Kim and also features various elements such as a book written by Mr. Kim. Meanwhile, musical pieces, songs, production of music, and arrangements will be done by Helen Park; and also music and lyrics composed by Max Vernon. Teddy Bergman will be in charge of direction, choreography will be taught by Jennifer Weber and Sujin Kim-Ramsey as the music director. Scenic Design is being done by Gabriel Hainer Evansohn, Costume Design is set up by Clint Ramos and Sophia Choi, Lighting Design is set by Jiyoun Chang, Sound Design is being taken care of by Peter Fitzgerald and Andrew Keister, Projection Design is organised by Peter Nigrini, Hair & Wig Design is being done by Mia M. Neal, Makeup Design will be done by Joe Dulude II and Suki Tsujimoto, Casting is arranged by Tara Rubin Casting and finally, Cherie B. Tay as the Production Stage Manager.

Previews start of the program begins on October 13, 2022. The opening night is on November 30, 2022.
