Will there be a season 7 of “Billions”?
Many fans thought that the fifth season would be the last season of the series. However, that wasn’t the case.
In August 2021 at the Television Critics Association event Showtime’s Boss of Entertainment Gary Levine clarified that the team completely filmed the final episodes of seasons 5 and 6 together. “We felt guilty for the audience to have to wait as long as they did to see the rest of Season 5 so we and the rest of the producers just put our heads down and said just plow ahead,” he stated.
When it comes to the seventh season, there are no concrete details. As per speculations, the sixth season of the series would be the final outing of the show. So currently, the future remains uncertain but let’s wait for a while till the sixth season wraps that way the viewers will know from the story.
When is the release date for season 7 of “Billions”?
As previously mentioned, no detail is out yet regarding the seventh season. Whether or not the series continues with a new season remains doubtful for now. But if renewed, we can expect to see the new episodes by late 2022 or early 2023.

Sadly, one of the main cast Damian Lewis who played the role of Robert “Bobby” Axelrod has departed from the show. He did not appear on the fifth season as well. But there are high chances that he could make an appearance if there are more seasons in the future.
“There’s an opportunity maybe for me to return,” Lewis revealed to the New York Times. “But for now, broadly speaking, Axe has been vanquished.”
Show’s co-creator Brian Koppelman also teased that Damian Lewis could come back to the series. “Knowing the conditions in which he performed, traveling back and forth to England for years to be with his family, it’s impossible to imagine just how hard and focused that guy worked. We feel really honored and lucky to have had five years of being able to know that Damian Lewis was Bobby Axelrod. But, again, not saying goodbye forever.”
