Conceived by David E. Kelley, “Big Sky” is an American thriller crime drama series inspired by the novel penned by C.J. Box titled “The Highway Series.” The debut season was launched on November 17, 2020, on ABC Network. The second season was renewed in May 2021 which was released on September 30, 2021. The series stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury, Brian Geraghty, Valerie Mahaffey, Dedee Pfeiffer, Natalie Alyn Lind, Jesse James Keitel, Jade Pettyjohn, John Carroll Lynch, Ryan Phillippe, Ted Levine, Anja Savcic, Janina Gavankar, Logan Marshall-Green, and Omar Metwally.
The story follows two detectives Cassie Dewell (played by Kylie Bunbury) and Cody Hoyt (played by Ryan Phillippe) who team up together with his estranged spouse and ex-police, Jenny Hoyt (played by Katheryn Winnick), to find the two kidnapped sisters by a truck driver on a secluded highway which took place in Montana. They later uncover that these two sisters are not the only ones who went missing in the town, they must hurry to put an end to the killer before another goes missing.

Big Sky Season 3 Release Date: When Will It Air?
Presently, the series has not been renewed by ABC although we’re quite certain that the series will indeed return with a new season. It’s only about a matter of time until ABC provides official renewal announcements as fans of this show are already extremely looking forward to the next chapter of the series. Besides, the ongoing season is doing pretty well and has received tons of love from the fans.
However, there are no official release dates issued at the moment. It’s safe to assume that if a third season takes off, new episodes are expected to fall by the end of this year and will probably continue till early 2023.
