Directed by Zhu Ruibin and written by Written by Ma Jia, Xu Zishan, Liu Gelin, Chen Lusha, and Zhang Yuan’and, “Ashes of Love” is a Chinese Xianxia Fantasy Romance television series heavily inspired by the book titled “Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost” written by Dian Xian. It features Yang Zi, Deng Lun, Luo Yunxi, Wang Yifei, Chen Yuqi, and Zou Tingwei. The series was launched on the Chinese channel Jiangsu TV on August 2, 2018.

 

The series garnered 100 million views in just fifteen minutes upon the release of its first episode and has reportedly crossed 15 billion views as of January 2019. 

 

It seems that viewers can’t get enough of this exquisite Chinese fantasy tale with amazing visual effects, costume designs, and well-crafted storylines and have since then been waiting if there is more to the story. Has Season 2 Of Ashes of Love Been Renewed?

 

As of now, there aren’t many details concerning the second season of Ashes of Love. It’s been over three years since fans have been waiting but nothing concrete has been issued by the makers till now. Nonetheless, Ashes of Love is not even renewed for a second season yet but following the massive success of the first series, we’re optimistic about the future. 

 

Besides, the executive producer of Ashes of Love Liu Ning disclosed that the much-awaited sequel of Ashes of Love will be filmed although he didn’t mention when filming will commence.

Back in March 10, 2021, Youku and the production squad announced that a sequel to “Ashes of Love” is happening and will be released soon. This piece of information excited many fans who are patiently waiting for the next chapter. Youku circulated pictures of the novel along with some artwork posters indicating that “Love When the Stars Fall” from the novel will be adapted into a TV series. 

 

Coming back to the release date, there are no announcements regarding the air date of the sequel. It could be that filming has already commenced but they’re keeping quiet about it. At this point, we would predict that the new episodes will likely arrive by the end of 2022 or sometime in 2023 at the earliest.
