Ascendance of a Bookworm is a Japanese animated series based on a light novel penned by Miya Kazuki alongside Yu Shiina as the illustrator.
Both the LN and manga series are circulated in English by J-Novel Club. An anime TV series adaptation was released on October 3, 2019, by Ajia-do Animation Works. The series has so far released a total of three seasons. The third season had just recently finished airing and fans are already looking forward to the fourth season.

Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4 Plot: What to Expect?
The upcoming season of Ascendance of a Bookworm is expected to be warm-hearted and entertaining as the previous seasons and just like the other three seasons, it will begin with the storyline of a woman who is reincarnated as a five-year-old kid residing in a society with costly books. Myne’s determination to serve as a librarian will continue to amaze us and she takes us on an adventure in the isekai universe in the next chapter.
As per J-Novel Club the official synopsis for Ascendance of a Bookworm reads:
“A certain college girl who’s loved books ever since she was a little girl dies in an accident and is reborn in another world she knows nothing about. She is now Myne, the sickly five-year-old daughter of a poor soldier. To make things worse, the world she’s been reborn in has a very low literacy rate and books mostly don’t exist. She’d have to pay an enormous amount of money to buy one. Myne resolves herself: If there aren’t any books, she’ll just have to make them! Her goal is to become a librarian. This story begins with her quest to make books so she can live surrounded by them! Dive into this biblio-fantasy written for book lovers and bookworms!”
