All About Rustin?
Rustin is an upcoming American drama film that is going to Premiere by the fall 2023. Directed by George C. Wolfe from a screenplay by Dustin Lance Black and Wolfe, the series is distributed on Netflix.
The storyline of the series revolves around gay civil rights activist Bayard Rustin, who organized the 1963 March on Washington.
It stars Colman Domingo, Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Audra McDonald, Aml Ameen, CCH Pounder, Michael Potts, Bill Irwin, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph as the lead star cast.
The film is produced by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s production company Higher Ground Productions.
Is Anthony Cook joining the cast of Rustin alongside Chris Rock and Jeffrey Wright?
As of now, there is no confirmation regarding Anthony Cook joining the cast of Rustin. However, it has been confirmed that Colman Domingo, Chris Rock, Glynn Turman and Audra McDonald are to star in ‘Rustin’.
Also, Chris in an interview said: “Yeah, I mean, I hope this movie is like ‘Creed’. In the sense that ‘Creed’ is technically like ‘Rocky 7’.
“So, hopefully there’s more ‘Spirals’ and hopefully I’m in more ‘Spirals’.” It seems he is very much excited for this project. Once the arrival of Cook is confirmed, we’ll keep you guys updated!
